Low Dose Naltrexone

Naltrexone is manufactured as a single 50 mg tablet. Low dose therapy needs a fraction of that, and there is no way to get there accurately by splitting a tablet. We weigh and fill each dose to the milligram you write.

Any strength from 0.5 mg upward, immediate release or slow release.
Oral liquid
For titration schedules, tiny doses, and patients who cannot swallow capsules.
Topical cream
When an oral route is not workable.

Note Naltrexone is not a controlled substance, so a standard prescription is all we need.

Using it

How to take it.

  • Most low dose regimens are taken once daily. Follow the schedule your prescriber wrote, not a schedule you read online.
  • Titration is common. If your prescription starts low and steps up, keep the earlier strengths until you are told otherwise.
  • Take it at the same time each day. Many prescribers choose bedtime.
Storing it

How to keep it.

  • Room temperature, away from heat and direct light.
  • Keep capsules in the container we dispense them in. It is chosen to keep moisture out.
  • Oral liquid: check the label for a refrigeration note and a beyond use date.

  • The exact strength in milligrams, to one decimal place if you need it.
  • Capsule or liquid, and immediate or slow release.
  • Any filler you want avoided. Tell us and we will build the formula around it.
  • Quantity and the full titration schedule if the strength changes over the course.
