Pediatric and Dental

A child who will not take a medicine is receiving no medicine. We turn tablets and capsules into flavored liquids at the strength you want, without dye, sugar, or alcohol if that is what the patient needs. We also prepare the rinses, pastes, and topicals dental and podiatry practices ask for.

Using it

How to take it.

  • Use the oral syringe we send, and read it at eye level.
  • Aim for the inside of the cheek, slowly. Squirting toward the back of the throat is how a dose ends up on the floor.
  • Shake every suspension before every dose. The active settles.
  • Finish the course unless your prescriber tells you to stop.
Storing it

How to keep it.

  • Most flavored suspensions are refrigerated and carry a short beyond use date. Check the label every time.
  • Do not freeze a suspension.
  • Keep it out of reach. A medicine that tastes like bubblegum is one a child will happily take twice.

What to put on the prescription.

  • The patient's weight, which we need for pediatric verification.
  • The concentration you want, in mg per mL.
  • A flavor, and any restriction such as dye free, sugar free, or alcohol free.
  • Total volume and the sig with the exact mL per dose.
